At Stour Church, we believe that following Jesus means caring for everything He made… not just people, but the planet too. That’s why we’ve officially signed up as a member of Eco Church, a growing movement of churches across the UK working to put creation care into action.

Eco Church is run by A Rocha UK, in partnership with Christian Aid and other churches, who all share the same vision: looking after the world around us because it matters to God.

Eco Church helps churches like ours make thoughtful changes across five areas: worship and teaching, community and global engagement, buildings, land, and lifestyle. That means it looks at everything from how we talk about creation in church, to how we use any green spaces, and how we live day-to-day as individuals and a community.

Stour Church joining up with Eco Church isn’t about ticking boxes, it’s about being a church that makes a difference. We want to be a place where nature can thrive, where people are inspired to live more sustainably, and where our faith leads us to love not just our neighbour, but also the ground beneath our feet.
